• The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) is the international organization for writers, illustrators, editors and publishers of children’s literature. The Japan chapter SCBWI Tokyo and Taiwan chapter SCBWI Taiwan are active in Asia as well as chapters in the Philippines, Hong Kong and Mongolia.
• The Society of Writers, Editors and Translators based in Tokyo, holds monthly events for people with an interest in writing, editing and translating in Japan.

• The Japan Board on Books for Young People (JBBY) is the Japan chapter of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), a nonprofit organization for people committed to bringing books and children together.
• Paper Tigers is a site for all those interested in young readers’ books from and about the Pacific Rim and Asia. If you publish a book in English set in Asia, send them the information!
• Kamishibai for Kids introduces the Japanese picture-card story form called kamishibai.
• International Kamishibai Association of Japan introduces the Japanese picture card story form called kamishibai.
• Yamaneko Honyaku Club covers publishing and children's books in Japan. In Japanese, with an English section being developed.
