Koji Ishikawa
Profile: Graphic Artist and illustrator Koji Ishikawa was born in Chiba
Prefecture and studied at Musashino Art University. As a freelance
illustrator in Tokyo he's become well known for his pop-art creations of
animals in a wide variety of media. In 1986 he received the Grand Prix Award
of the "Pictures for Kids" Competition run by Kodansha. In 2004 his work was
selected for inclusion in the Bologna Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition.

Popular books include Living with 100 Dogs (Gakken 2002) and Life with Paper
Dogs (Kodansha 2003). He's a member of Japan Graphic Designers Association

SCBWI TOKYO
The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators is the only international organization to offer a variety of services to people who write, illustrate, or share a vital interest in children’s literature.

The SCBWI acts as a network for the exchange of knowledge between writers, illustrators, editors, publishers, agents, librarians, educators, booksellers and others involved with literature for young people.

The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Tokyo branch offers members support, information, and education at a local level in mainland Japan.
